Lights Out For Servite as Knights, Kasdorf Prevail
It was lights out for the Servite Friars at Cerritos College on Friday night, figuratively and literally. First, the start of the game was delayed for 62 minutes due to a power outage. As for the game itself, Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) Knights and the red-hot Ryan Kasdorf were lights out, dimming the Friars hopes for a 31-24 victory.

Oaks Christian knocks off Venice in convincing fashion, 42-14
Oaks Christian (5-0) scored all 42 of their points in the first half to hand Venice (0-5) their fifth straight loss in a very one-sided battle. Quarterback Nick Montana connected on 5-of-8 passes for 94 yards and 2 touchdowns while leading the Lions to victory in their homecoming game.

Edison Capitalizes on Mater Dei’s mistakes en route to a 24-14 win
It was very uncharacteristic night for the usually disciplined Mater Dei Monarchs as they were pounded 24-14 by the Edison Chargers. The Monarchs (3-2) were whistled for 15 penalties for a whopping 157 yards. The Chargers (4-1) had a clever game plan that had Mater Dei senior quarterback Matt Barkley running for cover most of the night. On the other hand, Edison running back Preston Spence had a spectacular game with 103 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns.
