Glendale Academy Diary:

The on-field skill work along with the focus within the classroom was equally as intense during day 1 of Steve Clarkson’s Quarterback Academy. The instructors were all great teachers of the game and were placed at stations that emphasized their expertise. Today I learned that you must improve every aspect of your game in order to be great. That includes mental focus, defensive reads, footwork, throwing mechanics, etc. There was a lot of action out on the field today, but my favorite part was a drill that made us adjust to the defense, spring outside, and pass left or right. I came to this camp ready to compete and felt I performed well throughout each of the drills. I’m looking forward to coming out tomorrow and working on my progression reads along with my technique for drop back and shotgun offenses. This is a program that I would absolutely recommend to any quarterback out there. The level of instruction and competition is the best. It allows you to really size up your talent and see where you really stand in comparison to other quarterbacks out there.
